The story behind Grand Jedi Master Yoda’s life remains somewhat of a mystery to fans, since creator George Lucas opted to have many of the character’s life details unknown. His race, home world and species remain unknown. The changing number of his toes is another mystery as Yoda has three toes in ‘The Phantom Menace’ but he sports four toes in ‘The Empire Strikes Back’, ‘Return of the Jedi’ and ‘Revenge of the Sith’.

BAFTA award-winning actor Peter Cushing, played Grand Moff Tarkin found his costume boots to be so terribly uncomfortable that he insisted on wearing his slippers during most of his scenes. Benevolent, understanding and drama-free George Lucas agreed to allow Cushing  to have his feet cosy and comfy by agreeing to limit shots, so that the actor’s slipper-clad feet did not appear. It was all worth it in the end though, as Cushing’s character has been called “one of the most formidable villains in Star Wars history.”

Only the real hard-core Star Wars fans know that E.T.’s alien species is part of the Star Wars’ universe. If you want to take a closer look, you can find a delegation of the aliens participating in the Galactic Senate. It is rumoured that George Lucas promised to include an E.T. cameo in his next Star Wars film (which happened to be The Phantom Menace), after Steven Spielberg included a Yoda cameo in E.T.

Jar Jar Binks had been banished from his homeland – the underwater city of Otoh Gunga, for his physical clumsiness. He was also clumsy in his voting choices! While standing in on the Galactic Senate, Jar Jar Binks voted in favor of Order 66, which ultimately led to the destruction of the Jedi and the rise of the Galactic Empire. So if you thought you disliked the fellow before, you have ample reason to hate him outright, now!
